“Gracias for brightening my day with this email. I’m a HUGE Spiderman & having a dope black Spiderman on the scene now is so empowering for our own geek & cosplay culture in this country. In fact, I can’t wait for Comic-Con 2019 to see them all.

This movie is such a spectacularly splendid splash of change-ups & change-outs. All the characters you knew go out the door with this one as they take on new & exciting changes to the lineup.
Well, I’m here to tell you that the hype is real. This movie does not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations! Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is easily one of the best films of the year. Not only that, but in my opinion it’s the best Spider-Man film that has been made!
Miles is nearly a foot shorter than Peter Parker, yet when Miles takes one of Peter’s old costumes to use as his own, it fits him perfectly. This was intentional on the part of the filmmakers, meant to be an illustration of Miles’ earlier conversation with Stan, the comic shop owner (“It always fits. Eventually.”)
It was announced shortly after Stan Lee’s death, at age 95, that he had recorded a cameo for the film and that it would be his final voice-acting role. Lord and Miller felt it was important that Lee was given a bigger moment compared to previous Marvel films because he was “so integral to the spirit of this movie,” and considered his role “extra meaningful” following his death.
There is a Stan Lee quote after the first part of the credits. It reads
“That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt, a real superhero.”
Completing the animation for the film required up to 180 animators, the largest crew ever used by Sony Pictures Animation for a film.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller had a goal for the movie:
“Inspire young people to become heroes. Inspire grown-ups to help them do it. And remind us all that you don’t need to be bit by a radioactive spider to do your part. You are powerful, and we are counting on you.”
Shameik Moore, who voices Miles Morales, has been a fan of Spider-Man since childhood. He says, “In fact, when I was a teenager, I wrote in my diary that one day I would play Spider-Man!” He is very proud to be a part of “Spider-Verse” because he says, “It’s important to point out that ‘Spider-Verse’ is the first movie about a biracial superhero, ever. His culture, background and upbringing really
Just this scene alone is such a huge
Visually stunning. Great storyline. Great cast. Amazing soundtrack. Tear jerking cameo. Pop culture post credit scene of the decade. Thank you Marvel and Sony for making a Spidey movie everyone can love.
A movie worthy of Stan Lee’s approval. Incredible animation, great story, great message. This film lives up to the hype and honestly surpassed my expectations.
