Tangy Sessions wrote this about our awesome guest today:

a South African of Indian origin, who exudes immense charisma & possesses the ability to enthrall audiences with his spontaneous improvised beats. His versatility in Indian percussion allows him to seamlessly play with any genre of music.
In this clip, he does the ‘Thagimpu’….as he believes, everyone is a musician, and loves to involve people in making music.

    • Rahul Singh says:

Pink's Music is brilliant ๐Ÿ™‚ End of the day, Music is Music and its great that you've found a genre that lifts up your spirits when you down ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. He sounds really passionate about his genre. It's different how the drummers I know would listen to progressive or heavy metal since the drum beats are well… progressive or more complex. But then again, he doesn't play the same drums as those drummers.

    • Rahul Singh says:

Hey Carol… I guess it took me a while to actually understand the beauty of heavy metal drumming but its crazy that now when I listen to, say eg KISS, my ears are more for the drums than anything else :)… Maybe I'll soon add some Indian Tabla to a Heavy metal track soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

  24. I am a big music lover, so I know how it feels to find or be recommned a new artist. Especially as one as talented as he is.

  25. Elizabeth O. says:

I'm sure he's going places! I think he's a very talented young man and I hope he continues to love what he does.

  26. Gideon Tayag says:

The School of Rock's soundtrack had more notes than the entire discography of Linkin Park. As a drummer for almost two decades now, your source of musical inspiration seems very different from the usual. To each his own, I guess. But I hope your friends care enough to give you more "mental" music, you'll learn more going with it.

  27. meganschaus says:

This is a great Q&A. I love all types of music and I completely understand the hesitation on the heavy metal music, my husband is a big fan of it but I prefer to actually hear my music! haha

  28. soumya says:

    This is some great music.

  29. SONA MATHEWS says:

    Thanks for the advice.
